Yesterday I installed an update to macOS Ventura and now after reboot Norton 360 won't start at all. It won't just show anything even I click on it multiple times. Restarted Mac, still won't show anything. I can see com.symantec.mes.systemextension is running in the background. Not sure what's happening!!
Reinstalling didn't fix that problem. So I had remove it completely by using Norton removal tool from here: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080427024142EN and then install it again. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I have had to this in a year. Norton please fix your software!!
I just printed this file:
cat /Applications/Norton\ 360.app/Contents/Info.plist
I can see Norton's version has changed?
<key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
<string>Norton 360</string>
<key>CFBundleGetInfoString</key>
<string>Norton 9.1.0, © 2022 Symantec Corporation, All Rights Reserved.</string>
<key>CFBundleIconFile</key>
Norton 9.1.0? Has Norton been testing a new version of Norton? Looks like I have no other option but to remove it and reinstall it again!!
