This product has failed to work since purchase. I have had chats with staff but despite remotely connecting with my PC they are unable to resolve the problem that I cannot connect to other devices on my local network. What happens now?
Thank you for your response. Here are my answers: -
1. My previous BitDefender software was uninstalled, the PC rebooted and any remaining items in the registry were also removed.
2. There were two problems. Without VPN enabled everything was much slower. My normal 550mbs became 410mbs but I could connect to all my networked devices. However, when I accepted Norton's recommendation to enable VPN, my Firefox browser was at a snails pace, my speed reduced to 380mbs and I could not access all my network devices. The biggest problem was that I could no longer access my Ubiquity Dream Machine which controls everything on my network, my internet and my WiFi.
3. Support took remote control of my PC and I observed them making changes to the Network Trust Settings. They tried many other changes over the next hour but nothing resolved the problem.
4. I am using Windows 11
About 10 minutes ago I received a phone call from Norton and discussed all these issues with them again. In conclusion, they have agreed to give me a full refund. This resolves my concerns.
Did you fully remove any non Norton security software before you installed Norton?
Is the only problem you are having is connecting to other network devices? Are you using the VPN feature when this happens? If so, test without the VPN.
Did Support try changing Network Trust settings?
What version of Windows are you using?
You can ask for a refund thru Norton support chat or phone and if the product cannot work I would look at different products or consider using Windows Defender and Windows firewall.
