The Norton Account Activation program is written to require Internet Explorer. I do not have Internet Explorer, so I cannot use it. (Every time that program runs it generates IE "script errors" every time you press anything, and is unusable.) Is there an alternate way that I can do this "Norton Account Activation", either through the web or mail, or telephone?
My Norton product (internet security 2011) is running, so do I need to do the Norton Account Activation at all?

This is the first time I have ever tried to post something here. If there was any duplication, I didn't see it.
I am using Firefox (3.5.11)
I have had no browser related problems doing anything except with the "norton account activation".
That's odd since I did see two posts over your name ....
I've not heard of this with FIrefox and plenty of people are using it here -- hang on for some user advice on this.
Is it the latest version of Firefox?
Are yo getting actual scripting errorsa or just reports of them? I know in IE most people turn off the reporting of scripting errors because they are not meaningful?
The problem seems to be that this program (norton account activation) is written so as to require internet explorer. I think this because the error that n.a.v. displays is stated specifically as an "internet explorer" script error. I know that some Windows programs are written to require IE. I assume most Firefox users have the IE program on their computer, but just don't use it. I don't have IE at all. I don't expect to find a fix if the program is trying to call something that doesn't exist.
I do wonder if there is some alternate way, to bypass that program, and do it through a Norton webpage, or e-mail, or postal mail, or telephone, or something.
Or, if it even matters. It seems to be only a minor annoyance: the NIS works anyway. At least it seems to work OK. At worst I should just have to deal with having a non-functional component. I hope.
