Norton Account Management

Norton links your subscription to your Norton Account, but if I change the password of the Norton Account via the web, do I have to do anything manually to the client so that it remains linked to the Norton Account, just like when you change your email password, you have to update the password in your email client also so that the application can log in and sync your emails at all time...

No you should out sign out and Sign in again with your new password, Inorder to reflect the same in the client.

Here are the detailed steps with pictures

 

1) Launch the product

2) Click on the email id which is on the top right corner of the UI. Picture below

3) On the 'Sign Out' pop up, click 'Sign out' button. Picture below

4) Now enter your email id and NEW PASSWORD. Click 'Continue' button.

 

Inorder the reflect the new paswword in the client, you should follow the above steps.

I reminded Norton that there was a issue with connecting to manage.norton.com site. Perhaps that might have helped. During the weekend, Symantec presence is light.

Site finally came back up for us this afternoon and we can once again manage our installations. Just wondering if everything is ok at Norton. Have never seen this before. Site being down for 2 days (at least) is a bit concerning.

24 hours later and I'm still having the same problem. I go to norton.com and hit sign in. Page changes to "Signing into your account" as usual then goes grey at https://manage.norton.com/ManagementHome. Keeps trying to load but nothing comes up. Connection info on the bottom keeps switching between "Reading/waiting for nexus.ensighten.com" and "Waiting for manage.norton.com". First time this has ever happened; have always been able to logon easily. Last succesful attempt was a couple of weeks ago. This is the first time I've tried to logon since. Same problem from 3 different PCs here so I doubt the problem is at this end. All other sites working fine. Any suggestions?

As you are having the issue on multiple devices, I would suggest it is a localized server issue. Try again later tonight or tomorrow. If you still see problems tomorrow, please post back.

I can't log in from Ontario.  I've tried on a couple of different machines.

I just logged in from Canada with no problem. It could be a localized issue with servers in your part of the world.
