Hello there,

 

Is Norton 360 4.0 scanning installers and chm archives? For example is scanning the files inside a .msi file ?

Do I have to enable any feature or it does that by default?

It does it by default.

 

Eg. when you run a Full System Scan, it will scan like 500.000 files, however if you check it via explorer you will see only about 150.000. The extra ones are all the files included in compressed files, setups, and of course msi's, plus a lot more. :)

Last question: :robotvery-happy:  I have a folder with some files and between them a few .msi. Does it scan inside them (.msi) if right click>Norton 360>Scan now ? Or it scans them only on a Deep System Scan? I couldn't find any mention about this files in Help or in the Setting interface.

It will scan this way in the msis as well. It doesn't matter if you scan only the msi file itself, or in a folder, or in a folder with many other files, Norton will scan the content of the msi always. :)
