I have been going through this issue for DAYS! Recently my laptop triggered this:
Intel(R) AT Supported system lock due to Platform Attack Detected Time Left to enter Password: Hours, minutes, seconds. Please select one of the following for platform recovery: 1-User Password 2-Server Token Password (WWAN NIC not available) Select one of the above options to proceed. This device has been locked and may have been lost. If found please use the following information to return the device. Unlock with Norton Anti-Theft http://goo.gl/gccEG Platform ID 00000B26 Intel(R) AT service provider ID 15,000
I did not install this on my computer, nor did I activate it. Apparently this was pre-installed on the device. So because I did not install it and register it with Norton I have no devices listed under Norton Account and no password to unlock it. I have been through multiple chats with Norton and they "escalated" it and then they told me it was Intel's issue. So therefore I contacted Intel and they "escalated it throughout there research team" and they have determined it is not them, it is Norton. They stated that the software was changed when Norton was put on at the manufacturer and no longer had their code in it, hence the Provider ID 15,0000. So now I have gone back to Norton and they still have no resolution at this moment. I clicked on the Service Token Password option to see what it would display and it provided me with an ID # to provide to the IT Tech to obtain the code, however NO ONE will take responsibility and get my device unlocked. Can ANYONE help me? I am at a loss! I have researched everywhere I could and they all lead back to Norton fixing the problem.
