Hi. I have been running Norton Anti-Virus 2010 on Windows7. I believe that the subscription has another 3 months to run.
I say believe as I cannot get NAV to run. The Norton desktop widget is all black in colour. Windows 7 tells me that NAV isn't running. The file is noted as: WSCStub.exe. It doesn't start when the file is double clicked.
When I try to launch via the start menu, nothing happens for many minutes, and then a very small window pop-up appears, but its a functionless tiny window.
I've downloaded superantispyware and run it several times without it finding anything malicious.
I've tried the "uninstall/change" function in Add/Remove Programs, but when I attempt to uninstall/change NAV, nothing happens.
Norton Safety Minder seems to still be working Ok.
I've tried to find the software to reinstall it, but at this stage haven't been able to find where we've put it away "safely" (read: where even we can't find it).
Any suggestions as to what the cause of the problem is and any solutions?
