hello every body. my compute came installed with norton utilities, and it was running my hard drive like it was a marathon. i watch the little indicater light that flash when the hdd is active, and it was always steady on. i looked in task manager/performance, and there was a process called system showing hard drive usage of 50 to 100 percent. every body was telling me that it was norton and i was like no cuz is a process called system and its a windows process. one day norton gave me a error message, and i tried to call support and they wasnt awnsering so i got frestrated and unistalled norton. come to find out, norton was the culprit of the hdd spinning non stop. i found out by accfident any way thank god that my hdd is not doing it no more as for the process called system, i think that its responsible for all the programs that run cuz when norton was accessing my hdd, system process was coming up in the task manager...............
