With Norton Antivirus 2011 I thought most or all scans ran while the computer was idle and if I came back to the computer during a scan it would pause the scan and resume once the computer was idle again.
I recently updated to Norton Antivirus 2012. Today I came back to my computer after lunch and it was really slow. I tracked the problem down to Norton Antivirus (this computer isn't overly fast). I knew for sure where the problem was when Norton popped up about 5 minutes later and said it had finished the quick scan. After that my computer's performance was back to normal.
Did something change with Norton Antivirus 2012? Is there some way I can control this behavior?
