Stu,
Sorry I put the question in the wrong forum. Yes I installed NAV first. I didn't want it to have any problems going on the machine because of a fire wall issue. Everything was fine for a month until Norton starts updating itself. Should I re-install NAV again ? Should
I uninstall it first before I re-install it ? Thanks
Hi,
I have Norton antivirus 2008 and Zone Alarm 6.5. Everthing is working except Norton says my Advanced Firewall has a status of
"at risk" I think zone alarm is running fine because I get lots of notifications when something tries to access the net. When I fist installed Norton it was happy with Zone Alarm. It is just lately that it is complaining. Any idea what it is looking at that makes it think I don't have a firewall up ? Or if that is not possible, how to tell it to ignore it. Thanks for any help.
Do you have any problems with it ?
No, everything seems to be running fine. I was just wondering how to tell Norton I do have an advanced fire wall running. If it had an ignore option I would click on that and be happy. Sounds like I should just live with it. Sometimes the cure makes things worse.
I have this problem too. The way I have found to get round it is to disconnect from the internet, then shut down Zone Alarm then restart it again. NAV recognises the firewall after that. Hope it works for you too.
ZA probably disabled some things in Norton.
Did you install Norton first before ZA?
