The options to select what default scan options is missing for the Antivirus program. I am the Administrator for my computer and I am not running a VPN.
What are the steps to get these options to show in the Norton Security Program ??
Ok Good to know Soul Asylum. Hope Norton will fix this issue.
When technology works the way it is suppose to everything is good. When that technology goes upside down and does not function the way it is suppose to huge headaches.
I know how to choose the scan type manually. The setting is missing to select the default type of scan you want to use when you first open My Norton. When you open My Norton program you see at the top of the page to the left of Live Update that's the default scan you want to customize... Three options are Quick Scan, Smart Scan or Full Scan.

@Rob The Tech I WILL pass this along to one of the Admins for the Norton team to have a look at. I've had my share of issues with my account and installed product since this past January. Just when one thinks things are good again something else rears its ugly head.
3) My original post i submitted a screen shot as a jpeg. It still says that my screen shot is still under moderation. How long does it take until my screen shot has been cleared and shows in my original post ?

Thank you for your response about the issue of the missing default scan options. When searching the internet trying to find solutions about this issue. Many other people have the same issue about the missing default scan options menu with no solution. Looking at your screen capture and what you have said, you have both menu items missing that is very strange. Hope Norton can fix these issues.
1) Soul Asylum.. Do you have the ability to contact Norton Tech Support people directly and let them know about the missing default scan options menu ?
2) Why does Norton not offer Tech Support by filling out an online Tech Support form and receive E-Mail Technical Support ?

Hello Rob. I can concur with your finding and take it one level higher. My Norton Security Ultra version 22.24.3.2 install shows BOTH the "Launch View" and "Default Scan Options" dialogs are missing. Windows 10 Pro 22H2, Norton version 22.24.3.2 / Windows 11 Pro Norton version 22.24.2.6 respectively. System reboots do not change anything, the below screenshot is on the Windows 10 machine I am currently on:
