Norton Antivirus does show the installation details BUT the information is wrong.(BUG)

Hi,

as i have turn on my laptop yesterday,I install the Microsoft Office 2007 service pack 2(from Windows Update). So after that NAV recorded that event and now the information NAV given in the performance screen is

Date:September 25,2009

Number of installations:2

* 2007 Microsoft office suite Service Pack 1 (SP1)

*Security Update  for Microsoft Word KB969004

Now,why SERVICE PACK 1 is recorded n the performance window?

Instead Windows Update Installed Service Pack 2????

Yes! Windows Update confirmed that SP2 was installed and the same in Microsoft Word.

Look at that:

Okay - NAV has got a bug, alright. I think the installation monitoring has to be fine-tuned some…

Thanks!

Hi funbeta - just saw the screenshot of the Microsoft Office info. I am convinced that this is a bug in NIS, since both Microsoft Office and Windows Update confirm that you have got SP2, not SP1.

Thanks for informing me! I also kuded you.

Thanks, funbeta ;-D

PS: Like your signature :-)

Thanks and your welcome!

My sometimes faulty memory tells me that the SP2 for office 97 was in fact a service release SR2b. Not a Service Pack.

I think it did not show on 'about'.

Then the next update was SP3 which did show....??

What did you mean about that?  :smileysad:

Sorry, for some reason, I thought you were talking about Office 97. I misread, with a brain freeze, your first post.
