Norton Antivirus has messed up my internet browsing!

Hi All,

I run Norton Antivirus on my main desktop computer. For the past 3 months I've had some problems browsing the internet on it. Webpages frequently don't load, or do load and are corrupted. Sometimes lots of code/random characters appear at the top of the web page.

I couldn't work out what was causing this and I've even been thinking of replacing my computer (it is getting a little old now).

This morning the free antivirus that I run on my laptop picked up a trojan virus on my laptop. I decided that I needed better protection so downloaded a 60 day trial of Norton. Low and behold, suddenly my laptop starts displaying exactly the same problem when internet browsing!!

So what's the deal? Am I running a program (or a virus) that is causing a conflict with Norton? How do I fix it?

I'm not particularly impressed that Norton has rendered one of my computers almost useless for internet browsing for the past 3 months! Please help me fix it, or I'll uninstall all Norton products for good and request a refund from customer services.
