Norton Antivirus keeps Rebooting

Sorry if this is a double post this forum is awful to navigate in.

My problem is norton keeps installing an update then asking for a reboot. It says downloaded and installed correctly then says my definitions are up to date but requires a restart to complete. I reboot and it tries to download the exact same update installs it again and says complete again 8/8 installed correctly and asks for a reboot again. Rinse and repeat. There any fixes for this?

Can you check the system date and time? if it is incorrect, please correct it and then run LiveUpdate.

 

If you still have the problem or if the system  date is correct, then download and run the Norton Removal Tool and reinstall the Norton product.

After you run the Norton Removal Tool, and restart the computer, you will see a Web page to download your Norton product. Download it and install it.

Do you have any other real time security programs on your computer now? What was your previous security program and how was it removed? If the previous security program was incorrectly removed, it can cause problems. Thanks.
