Can anyone tell me if "Norton Antivirus Online" version 20.4 provided by CenturyLink has the ability to block forwarded ports?
And if so, how to manage which ports to allow to pass?
Ever since installing it several months ago, I cannot view my security cams via the internet. The cams use port forwarding and it appears the ports are not forwarding. I have checked and rechecked the router port forwarding settings and all is properly setup.
I've looked all through the setup stuff in Norton and don't see any "Firewall" or "Port" or "Traffic" settings that other posts speak of...those UIs don't exist in this version s/w.
Port forwarding would be a firewall issue. If your Norton product contains a firewall, it would only control traffic entering and leaving the computer that Norton was installed on. If you are trying to access your security cameras remotely through the router from the internet, as it sounds like you are trying to do, then the Norton program sitting on your PC would probably not be involved at all.
