Norton Antivirus Performance Monitoring

Hello,

I have Norton Antivirus version 21.4.0.13 and when I use Microsoft Money 97 or encode video using Any Video Converter Norton System Performance Monitoring reports high CPU usage. When it has done this I open the Windows Task Manager where I found the CPU usage in one of eight cores listed under CPU performance to be momentary high then it returned to normal. There have been other times when Norton System Performance Monitoring reported CPU usage high when I was using the same software as mentioned above and when I went to the Windows Task Manager and CPU usages was normal.

I email AMD the manufacturer of my FX8320 and they said CPU usage is based on all 8 cores collectively not one and my CPU usage is not high. If the CPU usage is 100 percent in one core and zero percent in the other 7 then only one eighth of the CPUs capacity is being used.

They recommended that I disable Norton System Performance Monitoring which I did but Norton continues to keep up with it and display alerts which require me to have to manually respond by letting Norton do a scan before it returns to green statues. How do you turn Norton System Performance monitoring off? The panel shows off in two places I have been able to find it.
