Norton App blocker stopping Chrome

Hi, 

I have been having issues today getting on to my Chrome browser.  When I open the appication I get the Norton Firewall - Application Blocking pop up asking me if I want the Application to use the internet. I press Allow and I get a SymUIAgent pop up asking for my Password, a little pop up also appears in the right hand corner saying Microsoft smart screen has crashed. 

 

I have absolutely no idea why this is hapeening now, it hasn't before and Chrome is my default browser too. I am looking into changing my password for the SymUIAnget but I have no idea how to do that and where I would do that. 

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When you get that pop up, make sure you checkmark the option 'Don't ask again for this application'. This way you shouldn't be asked again for your action and Chrome should be added to the list of Applications which are allowed internet access.

 

There is absolutely no need for changing your user password. SymUIAgent doesn't have a password of its own. It just needs to authenticate at times to make sure if it is the designated user who is making the request.
