When the daily time limit is used up or the device blocking for the night is active, the children can simply open the desired app in a pop-up window and use it as long as they like. The “norton parental control” seems to be completely non-existent for apps that run in pop-up windows. Ive tried disabling all setting suggested by norton. Disable popup view and disable spart popup view. They can hit the button that shows all open apps then just open it in pop up view. Surely there is a way to prevent this but ive looked for days with no solution.
Hi @Ed_Grogg ,
We are investigating this issue.
Our analysis has revealed that the “Draw Over Other Apps” Permission is missing in your child’s device. Kindly ensure that the permission is enabled again and all other necessary permissions are in place, thus allowing our app to function smoothly. Feel free to refer this help document for assistance in this regard.
Also, we observed time restrictions are turned off. Could you turn on the supervision and ensure the house rules are reflected in the child’s device.
Kindly be noted that in Samsung devices, an app can be launched in a pop-up window in more ways than one. We are constantly working to ensure the pop-up windows are prevented in general. These will be addressed in our upcoming releases.
Thanks,
Norton Family Team
