Congrats, you just got the new version of Norton 360 which they are rolling out to all the users. Yes, it’s genuine and they have added a couple of new features for us mac users.
Great. How do I stop the pop ups.
is someone from Norton going to replay to this?!?!?!?!
wow that sounds like it is not legit if you keep getting the pop-ups. has Norton responded to this?
Hey Norton, we really need an official answer on this!
Is it legit? How can we get rid of the pop-up?
I spoke to Norton directly and confirmed it is legit.
Thanks Cliff. Did you get anything on how to turn off the popup?
Yes. Update Norton.
I did the update and now I can’t activate my VPN
Is Norton going to help us out here or what ?
Did I get a virus ? My updated virus scans are all clear
It looks like I got a whole new program. But the look is a bit different - I don’t know if I should give all access
This new Norton 360 release on my iMac (Monterey 12.7.6) and MacBook (Sequoia latest release) and F-Secure Freedom VPN causes problems. I do not want Norton VPN running. Each time I remove it from my Network settings, Norton VPN gets turned on by itself minutes later. Norton has to fix these problems and allow the product to be used just for virus scanning and not for VPN nor filtering.
When I had a problem with this update, I contacted Norton through their “chat” capability and, although it was a long wait, they helped me with my problem. Since I did the update, everything Norton works fine.
How can I stop pop-ups from Norton?
Very tired of this heavy handed behavior from Norton. The popups are worse than a virus. It seems the only way to get rid of the pop ups are to uninstall Norton and ask for a refund. Ridiculous
It’s a one time thing and it’s mandatory as it cannot be automated because of macOS. Why not spend some time allowing Norton access to the specified features. I don’t see it as a big issue.
Agree
Can I skip this update? It’s causing all kinds of problems and I can’t do work with the latest update.
