I have just noticed that Norton have been taking £69.99 from my account since at least 2012. They never send me a mail. I have been on chat support but they say they can only refund the last 60 days (this year).
I explained I never clicked a 'please automatically renew my licence radio button' and never would but they say sorry, its policy. I asked for what they have stored as my email address and its wrong (not even a correct email format) so I have never been informed that Norton are about to take further funds. Norton was bundled with my new PC in 2008 but I never renewed it and as far as I know have never received updated annually (unless it happened in the background). I use alternative security s/w and have done for years.
I asked to escalate the complaint as they refuse to acknowledge they have done anything wrong. There appears to be no complaints escalation path. I feel that a company whose reason for being is protecting their customers from abuse is abusing me their customer. How can I get this escalated?
