Norton Backup error

I just updated win 2008 C++ redistributable by auto update from Microsoft. Along with 20 optional updates I hadn't installed since doing a Comodo system time machine reinstall.         The N6 gadget said at risk on reboot. I clicked it and it asked my account password.   Then the set up backup said I had succesfully enabled 2G of backup.   The options then but me in a loop of saving changes. Change succesfully made.    I closed without saving changes to get out of the loop.   A full system scan went fine except the backup reported an error .  I closed the attached display after 5min.     I  don't have Videos or Music set to backup in order to minimize size.    A very small backup is all that should of been required.               Norton 360 version 6.01.2                  Win home premium 6.1.7601    Chrome 17.0963.56     Thanks for anyhelp.  Still have the at risk due to backup warning.    I have a screen snapshot of the error.   But the board is saying the attachment is not of the right file type.

I see on another post the request for a screenshot so I am going to try and upload the PNG file again.  Lastpass was open with a protected display .  Maybe that had something to do with the first failure.     The message "file doesnot have a valid extinsion for an attachment  txt, log, lue are the valid extensins"    I used the windows snipping tool to make the snapshot.

I beta tested NS 360 v 6  and had this problem then. I just checked. And had not posted about it that I could find.  It started as 6G registered. Then I think backup was interupted by me and was abnormal after.   Reregistering swithched me to 8G of backup and the adjustment not taking effect loop was experienced.  Later registering swithched to 10G of backup and was still wrestled with.  I ended up trying to use a DVD writter instead of the online backup. Also had troubles with that.   When I checked in the past in my registry Adobe has an old version of Reader that I can't delete.     I Installed Sumatra PDF reader recently and set it to defalult.
The old hooks for Adobe are suspicious for hackware to be happening. Just an idea.   Sorry for not reporting more diligently during beta testing.  Thought my DVD writer was part of the problem as I have not been able to set it up to backup by itself. Nero disk software was deleted andI have had problems setting backup up ever since. Nero is another product with many undeletable leftovers.

It possible that automatic backup was happening when the power went to sleep mode.  This has caused other troubles for norton before.        During the Norton Internet Security beta test I reported on backup trouble. That thread option is no longer available for me to search my post.  Maybe it could be made available.

I used Comodo Time Machine to restore my system to 4 days previous.    This removed the added Sumatra PDF reader and Logitech mouse driver (now still generic) that had been added.   Also I turned off Sleep mode coming on in  power settings.  And the backup is now set to very little being backed up on a manual basis.   Fullscan and problem fixed.    A remedy more than a fix. Thanks all.
