Norton backup in the Norton Internet Security not working?

When I click on the Norton Backup icon in the Norton Internet Security window and enter my details, I get invalid ssl. Just to note, I do not use Norton Backup.

It seems to be a Norton Account problem due to the server at the moment not available, Can you connect  to your Norton Account?

I could go to the website using through searching for it on Google. But it could be that the Norton window uses a different server than the exteral Norton account.

Maybe if you had set up a Norton Backup account it might recognize your log-in information.

At the very least it should say this account does not have Norton Backup or something of the likes. I got that response when logging into Norton Online.Family.

It seems problem has been fixed by Symantec (server side).  No more errors of invalid SSL certificates.  Note: if you are stuck with the screen "you don't have a Norton backup account" just log out of your Windows account and log back in (make sure you save all your work).  That will clear the message.  Or if you want, do a full restart.

yes, I just had to reinstall norton because of a crash.
