Norton block on the 38Degrees U/K petition site

Hi

To anyone in the U/K who has attempted to respond to a recent invite to complete a petition by "38degrees.org.uk"

This site normally passes all Safe Web requirements ....but today ...all links on the site were being "flagged " as malicious and thus were duly blocked by Norton !

I sent screen grabs of the issue to their team and asked them to have their Web Development dept look into the matter .

I have received a reply that states the following ..

Thank you very much for emailing us this information. The team is now aware that Norton users are currently seeing security risks being flagged when visiting the 38 Degrees website.

As far as we know no other product similar to Norton is flagging up security risks with the 38 Degrees page. There are a number of potential explanations for why this is happening which we are looking in to. We're taking this very seriously, but it is possible it may turn out to be a relatively innocuous glitch with either part of our site or the Norton software.

The full technical team is working on it right now, and we'll let you know as soon as we have got it fixed. We take web security extremely seriously, and have a specialist adviser who is paid specifically for technical advice on keeping our web site safe and secure.

I requested a followup as to how the issue was progressing ...and can confirm that the issue seems to now be resolved as all Safe Web notifications have now disappeared and the "glitch " has now been resolved !
