Norton Blocking iPhone Bluetooth

Hi there, and happy Thanksgiving.

This is a problem on a PC running Windows 8.1. About 4 years ago or so, with Windows 8 and whatever Norton version was running at the time, the PC could pair with and play iPhone content via Bluetooth. Then came the upgrade to 8.1 and newer Norton versions, and boom, the PC stopped accepting the iPhone Bluetooth connection. Microsoft and HP say it's Norton. Paradoxically, the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work just fine.

Any fixes?

Thanks!

@Marcoose:

New to the use of Bluetooth. Well, you may have a look at the below posts:

And, have you...

  • simply tried connecting your iPhone to your 8.1 using a USB cable?
  • reset Norton firewall?
