I have recently upgraded from NIS 2010 to 2011 and the recent Monthly News option suggested that I should take up the offer to download the Norton Bootable Recovery Disk - seemed a good idea. I followed the guide and successfully created the ISO file and write it to DVD. It worked & I booted up on the DVD OK, entered my Product Key no problem and the DVD started to spin on very fast but everything “crashed” back to PC Boot-up before I got to the screen which would have said something about updating virus data etc. At this point I wondered if I needed some “Drivers” for my particular M/B system and the only things I could find on my Windows XP SP3 was some files in C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\ so I did another DVD including these in the Drivers option of the Recovery Disk. Same result - it crashed back to boot-up. I have tried searching previous blogs but they seem to refer to earlier problems with the Recovery Disk Downloads a in 2008 when some ISO downloads seemed to be the wrong size. Help please!
