Computer: Dell desktop running Windows 10
I created a bootable DVD with the NBRT.ISO file for the 'Norton Bootable Recovery Tool (NBRT)" and ran a full virus scan without launching Windows 10 -- as expected.

Unfortunately, when I tried a USB flash drive instead of a DVD no such luck.
I downloaded the Norton recommended "Rufus" at this link to create a bootable memory stick from the aforemenioned ISO file.
However, when I tried the same procedure I could never get the USB Flash to boot -- even though I had created bootable USB flash drives in the past with the Windows 10 Recovery Tool.
I gave up after about four hours. My Google search suggested many people are also unable to create a bootable USB flash. Is NBRT.ISO only usable with DVDs and not with USB flash drives?
Has anyone solved this mystery.
