Norton Chat support

This morning I had to contact Norton Support (Chat support) . I had to wait more than 60 minutes (13 people in the queue before me). Then , while chatting with the technician , I received their messages (each and every of the messages) exactly 3 times in the chat . I asked the technician why is this happening and got a reply that they have some technical problem .  Have you noticed this ? Hope it gets fixed.

I have been using Norton for about a year but never had to wait an hour to reach the support . This should be improved. Perhaps it is because of the new versions but it doesn't matter to the clients

Hello TomV!

Thanks for your prompt answer!

Something else to report - the issue I had to contact the Support -

I came across a malicious file not detected with latest definitions from Symantec EndPoint Protection or Norton 360 (even Rapid Release) . I had to manually remove it . However , I got a copy of this file , placed it on my computer's desktop and executed it . Right after a second or two , got a pop-up from Norton Antivirus 2010 that SONAR detects it.

I mean you should either update Norton 360 more often with the new technologies because SONAR2 and Insight (Quorum) are missing in the latest official Norton 360 v3. SONAR2 seems to be big improvement over the previous SONAR.

This malicious file was submitted 16 hours ago to Symantec Security Response , still not detected by N360 or SEP11.

They are in  N360V4

Quads

Quads , I know that but v4 has not been officially released. I can't deploy beta software to end users .

At the same time Norton 2010 has been officially released long time ago , v4 has been in BETA for months so I think that new versions of Norton Antivirus , Internet Security and 360 should be released the same time.

It is a fact that without the greatest security feautures such as SONAR2 and the Cloud (Quorum) Norton 360 users are less protected than Norton Antivirus users (both use the latest official versions)

N360V4 was not in beta testing When NIS / NAV 2010 was released.

There was a gap from when I finished NIS /NAV 2010 (and release) testing, and when I started ET testing N360V4.

N360 has extra features that need to be tested that are not in like NIS.

Did you by any chance keep a copy of the chat session or print out the same?
