I have been running winxp, internet explorer 6, Norton Systemworks & Internet Security Bundle 08. I just recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 and upgraded to Internet Security to 09. Here lies my first problem, when I run the Norton Cleanup tool from Systemworks, the cleanup tool fails to cleanup my unwanted cookies and temperary internet files. I have found that IE7 hides these folders under the System Protected Files. But I would think that Norton Systemworks would know that and go around this already. When I do the cleanup, it does not delete any cookies, nor does it clean any of the temperary internet files, nor does it clean the temp folder. I tried the online chat and that person did not have a clue about what I was trying to say. After I go online to shop, pay a bill, online banking, or after a day of surfing (or if the computer is acting funny) I like the ability to just hit the cleanup button and all unwanted is gone. I have another computer that I was ready to upgrade IE and NIS but have put the brakes on that untill I figure this one out.
Second I have a laptop computer where the trial version of NIS has expired. I was going to install the Norton Systemworks & Internet Security Bundle 08 boxed retail onto it and upgrade NIS to 09. Any advice onto how to do this, like what order, ect....?
