I need to save a folder with many files on my Norton cloud directly from an external hard disk without saving it in laptop.

An external drive has no Windows operating system, so no way to connect to a network and no way to connect to the Norton Cloud storage.
You do not have to move the file to your laptop, but you have to use the laptop to add the folder from the external drive to your backup set. That is the only way to store files in the Norton Cloud storage. There is no direct connection to it without the 360 backup feature.

Are you saying you want to backup some files from an external hard drive and save them in your Norton Backup? If so, you have to ensure that the external drive is always connected and available, and that is mapped to a drive letter in Windows Explorer. Then it is just a matter of adding those files and folders to your backup set.
