Norton Community Watch reports as of late

I noticed in the last week or so that NCW has begun reporting 'attacks' and threats that NIS didn't list in the Security Risks log as such (attacks and threats).

 As it seems that this has begun recently, is this a new feature in the NCW-NIS interaction? What is the story behind it?
