Norton contact back up

I cannot download my contacts in back up as my galaxy s2 says it does not recognise the file after download.

Edit - Have to fix post. :)

Hi msnna1chow - Welcome to The Norton Community :)

The Backup of a particular version if i am correct that you are trying to download is the

download option from the Norton Mobile Security (NMS) website Control Panel.?

I hope i am correct. ?

This download is in a Microsoft Office Excel CSV format which i guess can be used for

importing your Contacts into other applications other than Norton Mobile Security (NMS).

I was on the wrong path with my previous post so i had to add a new post and reply.

If i am incorrect please let me know.

Cheers. :smileywink:

Hi smithy, yes you are correct. It is a cvs download file from NMS. I had to do a factory phone reset and was hoping to download the contacts from NMS backup as the phone back up seems to have only downloaded 89 of 289 contacts.

Hi msnna1chow

When you are logged into the NMS website Control Panel does the Backup version that you are trying

to restore show the correct number of Contacts (289 Contacts ).?

Otherwise do you have more than 1 Backup version that you can restore when using the NMS app Backup

and Restore option.?

One other question being wouldn't all of your Contacts be synced using your Gmail account linked to your

SGS 2.?

Cheers. :smileywink:

Hi msnna1chow,

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.

Could you please confirm if the issue is still persisting, and you are unable to restore the contacts on to your phone from Norton Mobile Security app? We may need to take a look at the logs from your Samsung S2 while running the Backup Contacts in Norton Mobile Security.

Also, please share the details of the version of Android running on your device and if you were using another device prior to Samsung S2 from which the backup was done.

Regards,

Lucky
