I have a new Galaxy Table S2 9.7 running Android 6.0.1. When I try to turn on Norton as device administrator, I get a crash. This happened when I tried from within the Norton app or directly through settings. Is there a fix?
Yes they both clear when you first clear the app data.
Glad to hear that you got the problem solved. If you could mark the post that best describes the fix it can help others find a solution if they have the same issue. You will find a Mark as Solution link beside the Reply link below the post.
I did clear app cache and app data - they clear together.
But this time, I did what you said an uninstalled then rebooted then reinstalled. It works now.
Thanks for your help!
You say you cleared the app cache. Did you also clear the app data? Maybe try that again, then restart the tablet and test again. If that does not work, clear the cache and data again, then uninstall the app. Restart the tablet and reinstall the app.
Let us know if this helps.
i also just tested and I am able to turn on device administrator for other apps so this appears to be device specific.
I have tried clearing the cache and logging on again then trying to set device administrator. It still crashes.
