Norton deletes Embarcadero Delphi IDE generated project.exe

Hello,
I just installed Community edition of Embarcadero Delphi IDE and unfortunately the project.exe file generated by the IDE is instantaneously deleted by Norton because of Heu.AdvMLB high risk threat. I didn’t expect embarcadero is releasing malware. What can I do ?

As a developer, you need to create a master folder for all your projects. Then exclude that folder from Both items in the image below.

Hi and thank for replying to my post. In my installation the Antivirus icon is actually grey (unfortunatelly I can’t attach a screenshot here). Then I asked the support and support wanted to “quickly” reinstall my Norton subscription via remote access. This raised serious questions:

  1. Maybe something is really going on within Delphi12 generated project.exe file (as no one knows what the compiler really puts into this file – hello conspiracy… ) and
  2. Quickly reinstall my antivirus which I had purchased with the pc and which was never went offline in the meantime raised additional questions which I can’t answer myself yet.
    So having Admin privileges on this PC allowed me to run the Delphi in Admin mode ones and this seems to work then for a first test until I have all questions answered required for offline reinstall of Norton and then hopefully I can sort the issue by the ususal way
