Updated Norton DNS to the new IP's:
199.85.126.30 199.85.127.30
Tested connecting to an Adult site and it went through OK, not blocked.
Changed back to the old IP's:
198.153.192.60 198.153.194.60
And it was blocked.
Also tried with various other sites too and they were all allowed through.
Have flushed DNS cache, cleared browser cache's etc and no difference

Hi gary_dexter,
Thanks for your patenice. The team confirmed that we had a temporary outage in the region. The new IP set should be ok by now.
The 'old' IP set you have reverted to has the same settings as the new one and will continue to be supported. You can stay with 'old' or 'new' IPs.
Thanks,
Katie
A big reason for lots of posts on this forum and lots of search results from Goggle about Norton DNS problems is because the "SETUP" page has not been updated for the new IP addresses...
Security threats
199.85.126.10
199.85.127.10
Security threats and Pornography
199.85.126.20
199.85.127.20
Security threats, Pornography and "Non-Family Friendly" sites
199.85.126.30
199.85.127.30
FIX THIS PAGE =>> http://setup.nortondns.com
That page says:
"Your computer is not currently using Norton DNS.
For DNS experts, our recursive DNS server IP addresses are 198.153.192.1 and 198.153.194.1 ."
Thanks,
Mike

Hi gary_dexter,
I checked with the Norton ConnectSafe team. It is possible that you ISP is not allowing the 199.xx addresses. The same nodes that serve 199.xx also serve 198.xxx, so we shouldn't see a difference at all here. Is it possible that you could reach out to your ISP to see that could be the reason?
The 'old IS' starting with 198.xx are exactly the same as the 199.xxx IPs. The 19.xxx set will continue to work and will not be retired. Please use the 198.xx set.
Thanks,
Katie
Ok. If its an ISP issue, why would they work intermittently? Surely they would just not work at all? Why do you offer different sets of ip’s?

Tried different ISPs - same problem - in my case connections to setup. / status.nortondns.com timing out.
It's been going on for about a week now.
