Norton DNS Problem - microsoft.com

Hi,

 

i tried the norton public dns servers and have a problem when i try to make an "ANY" request on microsoft.com. the request times out.

 

testing:

cmd - nslookup

set type=any

server 198.153.192.1

microsoft.com

--> timeout

 

the same request works with other dns servers.

 

what is the cause for this?

Hi fuco,

This is an odd one. Did you get errors on other domains? Can you please try the 2nd DNS address (198.153.194.1) to see if you see the same issue? We haven't had any other reports of a high-profile site like this causing an error.
