I've been using norton dns for a while, and for as long as I can remember, I've been getting some possibly odd behavior from it. I have been getting these two error messages constantly, although norton dns seems to be working all the time, except for occasional instances when it will go out for no apparent reason for a short while.
Here are the errors I see in the logs:
"Unable to query the TXT record on Norton DNS server 198.153.192.1. This operation returned because the timeout period expired."
and
"Unable to query the Norton DNS servers. There may be a connection problem or DNS queries may be hijacked."
Along with a time stamp, you can see these one after the other all throughout my logs in norton dns. Any idea what this is, and why it is occurring?
I am using the norton dns app, and I also have the norton dns servers plugged into my router, and I see them there in my computer settings under my wireless connection.
Running windows 7 x64, and also have Comcast's Norton Security version 5 installed.
