Been using Norton DNS for about a week. However I been noticing some fluctuations in speed. Specifically Amazon, Gmail, hotmail, and paypal have been inconsistently slow and fast. There may be othe sites, but those are what come to mind. Gmail loading suffer most consistently when I am using Norton DNS. I say its 60 percent of time Gmail has trouble louding with Norton DNS, and other 40 it goes without the a problem. The other sites mention are suffer from time to time.
There are also odd times , when it seems that the DNS service cannot resolve anything and I get incomplete rendering of websites. I also noticed that Avira takes signicantly more time to update itself.
To verify if this was a DNS problem I turned off Norton DNS and back to my default ISP DNS for several days, and I could not replicate any of the problems i listed above with Norton DNS.
