Good evening
I'm not sure if this is in the right forum thread so please move it to the correct one if it's not. My problem concerns my Norton Internet Security's inablity to get rid of obvious malwares.
I've been infected for about half a year now and while I didn't decide to do anything at the beginning, I'm starting to worry now. I've been battling with them for three days now and while I was able to remove a few, new ones popped up and previously thought gone malware came back. This is the currently comprehensive list of all the things I saw my Norton check but dismiss as not threats:
MegaSr, NpProxy, UmPass, TrojanSlob, W32.SillyFDC, VBS.Runauto, Backdoor.Tidserv, Backdoor Rustock A and B, Hacktool.Unreal.A, Trojan.LinkOptimizer, Infostealer.Snifula.B, Trojan.Peacomm, Trojan.Gpcoder.E, Infostealer.Consmiper, Adware.WhenUSearchBar, Dialer.Edipole, Adware.Borlan, Adware.DropSpam, Spyware.PersonInspect, Spyware.Ezurl, Virus.Blast, SunshineSpy, VirusDoctor, Adware.Unico, SecurityRisk.ProxyDNS.
There weren't so many at first and I'm sure Norton is skipping a few. New names get revealed every day during quick scanning. Things have escalated a lot in the recent days. The only things I have manually downloaded in a while are these: Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, Kaspersky, F-Secure scans, other Norton products and Security Task Manager.
Weirdly enough, no anti-malware program seems to pick them up. No one except Security Task Manager informed me that I've some worrying extra drivers not related to windows on my pc and I wasn't able to do anything about them since my STM is a trial version. I'm able to see how Norton checks the malwares in the quick scan and that's what first alerted me to their presence. But it doesn't remove them. Malwarebytes and Kaspersky don't pick up anything, no matter what scan I perform, AdwCleaner took a few things out but after that, nothing. F-secure and Norton Power Eraser are useless. I've also downloaded a specialized removal tool for Backdoor.Tidserv but it didn't detect anything. I'm very confused and worried at the current moment.
Going through cmd and regedit proved fruitless as I didn't find anything except a few useless softwares which I deleted. Norton's removal instructions for some of the aforementioned malwares seem to lead nowhere in regedit. I'd like to think that I'm literate and can navigate regedit quite well.
Can anyone help? I'm supposed to pay bills and buy stuff with this computer but I don't want to give any personal information and bank card numbers away right now.
