Norton doesn't tell me the identity of quarantined files

Hi, we just installed Norton Internet Security (2009 I believe) after using McAfee for a good amount of time.  After running a scan of the computer, Norton found 2 trojans files which it immidiately placed into the quarantine.  We had been running scans with McAfee periodically and it never found such files.  If I try to look at the details, it says nothing but "Trojan Horse" and gives no details of what the file name, extension, or location was.  I would really like to know what this file's identity was so I would know to be careful about something, or if this is just a false alarm.

Thanks for the help,

There should be a button for more details

The more details does not give any more details than “Trojan Horse”.  This was stated in the original post.

Trojan Horse is a generic detection. In Security History, please select the option to "send to Symantec"

And was the risk "Blocked" or "Removed"?

It was automatically “Fully Removed”, yet still exists in the Quarantine.

Summary for Trojan Horse: http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2004-021914-2822-99.

Just as Stu said, there should be a "More Details" button which should display much more information than "Trojan Horse".

I hope you find the above Web Link of use to you and should provide information on this Threat.

It's not intuitive but I think what you want is to open the History link on the main screen and look at Resolved Security Risks.

Double click on an entry there -- I have Hacktools - Removed and a date etc

On the Advanced Details click on View -- Risk Details and then on the Details TAB

If it lists in Affected Area more than File then click on File -- mine lists Registry Entries in the case of something that SONAR picked up.

Alongside Details at the bottom is the path to the file in question with its name.

Now none of this specifically says Quarantine so I can't check that but I'd expect it to be similar.

Hope that helps.
