Norton Email Protection going bananas with false positives

I was helping someone I know who added Gmail to their Outlook Application. Norton keeps flagging so many emails as bad and quarantining them when they are not bad. Getting it to exclude is a pain in the neck and doesn’t seem to work, where I can’t even retore the emails, it fails. I tried to block scanning the Outlook Folder in AppData and it still flags false positives.

I have had to disable the email protection until this can be better.

Does anyone know how to get the protection to work properly and be able to prevent false positives or is this a huge kink in Norton’s chains that they need to figure out?

Hello. This is a screenshot from an earlier release when I was still on version 24.xx . Have you disabled scan inbound emails (POP3. IMAP4) VICE totally disabling email protection, to at least stop the scanning and non recovery issue?

Hello,

I totally disabled Email Protection because it was flagging no matter what I turned off or on. Now it is all fine for now. It sucks coz its a good system to have on, but too many false positives and no good control over how to manage them.
