I have been trying for over a month to have my N360 online account manually purged (why this cannot be done through account settings utterly baffles me). I have had 3 online chat sessions, submitted the form twice and still nothing.
From reading the forums, people have had this same issue resolved through the forums, so I very much hope someone can help me. Hopefully a Norton employee can PM me and sort this out.
Are you trying to delete the backup sets? I do not use 360 , but have you looked for an option under Manage Backups to delete a backup set.
Other users with 360 can guide you better on the options.
Yes, I'm trying to delete an online backup set - one that was originally created from a PC I no longer use, so I can't delete myself, I have, as I understand it, to complete a manual data purge request form, which I've done, and submitted 3 times, but nobody is actioning it, and I'm not going to waste any more time with online chat sessions - they've haven't acheived anything.
Seems crazy there's no option, given it's all the same account, albeit different PCs, to do this yourself.
Come on Norton, you're making a long term user, rather annoyed at your shonky customer service
Hello Keith
I've located your request and have had it processed. It didn't require a purge but a quota reset. You should see it reflecting on your account now.
In regards to the Norton 360 inability to purge via the web - this is a feature that has been requested. Unfortunately I can't say when or if that will be added in.
If this resolves your issue please mark this post as solved. Please let me know if you need anything further.
