Why does Norton keeps submitting error reports after I disable the option? I have "Norton Community Watch" OFF and "Detailed Error Data Collection" set to NEVER .
This question was previously asked by another user in October 2022 so I don't hold out much hope of getting 'a solution'!
Hello MilesRight. I concur with your findings. I also concur with the settings you are presenting. As a test, I enabled Norton Community Watch setting and changed the Detailed Error Data Collection, from "Ask" to "Never". Cleared all the entries and have rebooted. Lets see if that settings change makes any difference.
As far as the original question, I don't have an answer other than. Norton wants to collect data regardless, this behavior is baked into the product in a manner that we cannot actually prevent it. Someone directly from Norton should answer directly for clarity.
