Norton Family 2.6.0.61 Not Monitoring Activity

From the many posts on this problem, it looks like this has been an issue for quite some time and apparently has yet to be resolved.  My kids' PC is running NIS 2013 ver 20.3.0.36 and Norton Family ver 2.6.0.61 with Windows XP.  I've uninstalled / reinstalled NF and still no activity monitoring.  Is there a fix for this issue?

Hi Hfischer65,

If you visit a blocked website when logging in as a monitored child, do you get blocked?

Have you ever seen any logs at all?

Thanks,

Katie

I don't mean to hijack this thread, I just wanted to chime in, since I'm having the same problems.

I'm just checking it out to see how well it works (or doesn't).  I have Windows 7 firewall enabled with Microsoft Securty Essentials as my antivirus.  I have a seperate password protected account set up as a standard user with NF running, and with the online settings tool I have this child's account set up to view sites for "young child (<8)" but was still able to view gambling sites and those of a sexual nature during my test.  Also, with the setting enabled to only allow 2 hours of computing time per day, I was able to exceed this limit without the account locking like it was set to do.  I received no alerts of time exceeded, and there is no activity of any kind, it's not showing any social network accounts either, although I logged into facebook on the child account and viewed pictures, videos, and private messages.

All in all, not a single feature of this program is working.  It's just a program running in the background taking up resources and doing absolutely nothing.  Very disappointing to say the least.

Yes, blocked websites are blocked.  Used to get logs but don't recall exactly when they stopped.  May have stopped when lastest version of NIS was downloaded.

HI Hfischer65,

If you are still not seeing any logs, please send your Norton Family email address to me by private message via the forum.

Thanks,

Katie

Hi endorphin76,

If none of the functions works, then it's very possible that Norton Family is not installed properly or the child's account is not associated with his/her Windows account correctly.

Please check out the links below on how to associate Windows accounts for Norton Family.

Please check out the Get Started file below to  setup your NF account correctly.
