Please fix this soon. Every PC is crashing now on logout or shutdown, even from non-monitored accounts. I can send you a screen shot. Thanks.

Hi

The Norton Family is investigating the issue actively.  Thanks for your patience.

Thanks,

Katie

This is becoming a major annoyance since we encourage the kids to shut down the computers at the end of the day.

Please fix this soon. Thank you.

I am receiving this error also on Shutdown.  Windows 8.1

Hi,

We are working on an update to correct the issue.

Thanks,

Katie

Katie,

Kindly post a change log with the version number when the fix is released.

Thanks,

Dan

Same problem here on 2 of my computers.  Did removal and reinstall no change.  :(

I hate to pile on as it appears that this issue is being addressed already... but I have the same shut-down error every time on a Windows 7 64-bit system with the latest versions of Norton Family and Norton 360.

Thanks.

Yes, me too. I am running the most recent version of Norton Antivirus. Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Same issue here.  It started just a couple days ago.  Running under Windows 7.

Only way to shut down is to force nf.exe to close.

Hi RayHff,

Thanks for your patience.  The team is working on an update that will address the issue.  I'll post a message as soon as the update is available.

Thanks,

Katie

Same here. On the not-monitered account.

Hi,

The Norton Family team released an update 2.9.5.29, which should correct the issue.  Please check the link below for details.

This update fixed it indeed.

tnx

Hi Peter23no,

Thanks for the update.

Thanks,

Katie

I just downloaded NOF from the Download link on the NOF page, and the old version is still coming in.

Please update the download server with 2.9.5.29

Thanks

Hi dbdan22,

I'll check this with the Norton Family team.  If you have the older version Norton Family on the PC, the Norton Family LiveUpdate will detect that and install the latest Norton Family on the PC later automatically (you will need to reboot PC to make it affect).

Thanks

Katie
