Hi dbdan22,
Thanks for the post. I'll report this to the team for further investigation.
Thanks,

Please fix this soon. Every PC is crashing now on logout or shutdown, even from non-monitored accounts. I can send you a screen shot. Thanks.

Hi
The Norton Family is investigating the issue actively. Thanks for your patience.
Thanks,

This is becoming a major annoyance since we encourage the kids to shut down the computers at the end of the day.
Please fix this soon. Thank you.
I am receiving this error also on Shutdown. Windows 8.1

I hate to pile on as it appears that this issue is being addressed already... but I have the same shut-down error every time on a Windows 7 64-bit system with the latest versions of Norton Family and Norton 360.
Thanks.
Yes, me too. I am running the most recent version of Norton Antivirus. Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Same issue here. It started just a couple days ago. Running under Windows 7.
Only way to shut down is to force nf.exe to close.

Hi dbdan22,
I'll check this with the Norton Family team. If you have the older version Norton Family on the PC, the Norton Family LiveUpdate will detect that and install the latest Norton Family on the PC later automatically (you will need to reboot PC to make it affect).
Thanks
Katie
