Norton Family Accessibility Service keeps turning off when android 10 phone restarts

Good day

My son`s Android 10 phone will automatically turn off/disable the Norton Family Accessibility Service every time the phone restarts or if the phone is turned on.

Please urgently assist

Thank you

Hello,

Thanks for trying out suggested solutions.

There are a few more factors that could possibly kill background services in Android devices.

So, Please check if your phone's battery saver has been turned on. In most phones, the battery saver option disables the accessibility services thus rendering the apps useless. Kindly try disabling this if it is already enabled.

Also, If you've installed a third-party app to clean your phone or stop running background processes, you'll need to make an exclusion for the NF Android app.

If the above two suggestions didn't work, then there could be a possibility that your device manufacturer could have imposed restrictions on the background services to improve the performance of the device (For example, Huawei does this). In such cases, Accessibility service related functionalities will not work as expected.

Thanks,

Norton Family Team

Thank you for your reply however the Access Service Permission turns off itself at restart with no action from my Child. Its been doing it since the install install of the app on the device. As I have tested it i notice the phone turning it off at restart. Ive changed the battery optimisation settings as you have suggested by nothing changed. Still experiencing the same issue.

Hope there is a solution

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to the Norton Family forum.

It looks like Accessibility Service permission has been tampered with multiple times in the child device. We suggest you try blocking the Settings app using app permission and share your observation.

Alternatively, you can try disabling battery optimization for the Norton Family app under "Special app access" in the Settings app.

Thanks,
