Issue abstract: looking for the kids view
Detailed description: Hi, can you tell me where my child can see the time they have spent per app, like I can in the parent version if the app? That way they can decide how to optimise their daily screen time optimally. For now we’ve only found the button to request additional time.
Also, the application seems to continue to count time even when no applications are used (and the phone is not locked). The times for each used app in the “Most active apps” section don’t add up to the 1.5hr/day time limit set (only 25 mins in total) when my child got locked out.
Product & version number: Norton Family
OS details: Android v11
Hi @Jan_Kuyl ,
Welcome to Norton Family Forum.
Time spent per app view is available only for Parent version. However, child can view the apps that are blocked as per house rules by following below steps.
- Tap on app Child avatar
- Tap on House rules
- Tap on Apps section
On Android, device usage is calculated as the amount of time your child uses an application in the foreground. Please check this help link to know more.
Regarding the times for each used app, the issue that you have pointed out should not happen under normal scenarios. However, in cases where the child is using multiple apps simultaneously using the Split Screen feature of their device, the usages for both the apps are considered separately by Norton Family.
Thanks,
Norton Family Team
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Can you help me turn off weekly reporting for my child? I have cancelled the trial subscription, yet I keep receiving reports for my child, saying parental control is turned off (which is the case). I can’t find the menu where I can turn off the reporting.
Hi @Jan_Kuyl,
To add or remove email recipients from reporting, please follow the steps in this link .
Thanks,
