Why not propose an open Internet standard for "content control and time management providers" (and create a working API) that could be used to allow third parties like gaming console manufacturers to link their user accounts to products like Norton Family for integrated time management and perhaps even full parental controls?
Norton Family could add the rich media control settings that companies like Nintendo and Microsoft and Netflix provide (TV and movie ratings, video game ESRB rating limits) and be the central location where those settings are managed. Imagine it!
And since it would need to be an open spec approved by various slow-moving standards bodies, please get started so that my kids can use it with my grandkids!
