Norton Family is not working on one of my devices

I used Norton Family for several years (since it was NSM) and had updated my software to Norton Family in my PC. In this week the Norton Family on my PC stop blocking websites although it works fine in my laptop. I have tried re-installing, but it doesn't work. I have also try to reset the settings on the HTTPS://onlinefamily.norton.com/ website then try to update house rules on Norton family app, it updates successfully and the new settings appear, but the website blocking still didn't work out. I need this software to work correctly as I no longer able to monitor and block website visits done by users of my computer. Thank you for your support.

Is the website being accessed, with prefix http or https (http://www.wikia.com or https://www.wikia.com)?

It's http://www.wikia.com/, btw the website blocker is not functioning at all.

It doesn't only affecting Chrome, but the website monitoring and blocking also doesn't work in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox as well. Thanks for your support and help.

For additional info, i'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 and connects to internet through wi-fi

I'm using norton family version 2.8.0.9 (Online Framework and Online Datastore version 4.1.1.11)

Besides blocking function, what about other functions in the program, do they work? 

 

Is the Norton Family icon in the system tray active?

 

When you logon to the PC with a monitored Windows account, do you see a pop message at the lower right hand corner of the screen indicating the account is being monitored?

In the system tray Norton Family (NF) icon appears and when hovered appears text Norton Family - Enabled. Every system starts the popup above the system tray with the usual "Norton family is active and currently monitors activity..." appears. Eventhough internet activity monitoring works on the https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/activityList.fs website, it only shows allowed website and doesn't show any alert reports when I visit prohibited sites. Thank you.

 

Out of my couriousity, I try to select one of sites that I visit today, e.g. www.youtube.com and add it to block list from activity tab. It does add up to the house rules in NF, but the funny thing appears again: I can OPEN youtube.com without any blockage and misteriously youtube no longer appear in web activity on the onlinefamily website. I'm confused now.

What security product(s) do you have on the PC?

Thanks for the private message.  Can you please uninstall Avira for a short period of time and test to see if you still experience the issue, then install Avira again back to the device?

Uninstalling avira fix the problem. Avira somehow prevents Norton Family from working. Thanks for your help.
