Are there options to have Norton protecting this tablet?
Many thanks for attention.
(I need you help on this simple but important question as unfortunately on the main product offering Norton WEB site I could find only outdated and contradictory information on this question)
If your ASUS tablet (you neglected to specify the model) runs Windows RT 8.1 then the answer (currently) is no... If it runs Windows Pro 8.1 then the answer is yes...
The reason for this is explained at the following Microsoft website:
"What's the difference between Windows RT 8.1 and Windows 8.1?"
..There's a sentence:
"With Windows RT 8.1, you can install apps directly from the Windows Store, but you can't install desktop apps that you used with previous versions of Windows."
My tablet is - ASUS VivoTab Smart ME400C with 2048 Mb memory and 64 Gb storage (total !!, about 1/2 still open) and it has Windows 8.1 normal (not RT).
From the Norton WEB site I got an impression that tablets in general need a special Norton version (abbreviated for their limited storage), but I might be wrong on this matter.
I would much appreciate your additional attention and information related to my case.

Thank you for providing the additional information. You should have no problem installing your Norton product on your ASUS tablet. Just use the web browser on your tablet to navigate to your Norton Products "Settings webpage" at the Norton Management website:
Select your currently active Norton Product from the list of Norton products that you own (note: the product you select must have an available seat license remaining); Click the download button for the product; then follow the instructions provided by the downloaded installer in order to complete the product installation.
Also remember to run liveupdate continually on your new NIS installation until it reports that there are no remaining updates.
Since I see John offline at the present time - I can tell you this - my NIS Folder in my programs folder on my desktop is 797 MB - I would imagne close to the same on a tablet.
