No, I am norton game optimizer premium/norton 360 for gamers. Why do I receive emails with the message: your vpn is now improved. It’s included in your subscription? Norton does know which subscription I have, so I dont’ understand why I can’t see the ‘VPN’ in the privacy-tab.

Okay…if | since you’re Norton 360 for Gamers – may be best – to document/report “issue” directly via Norton support.

If your Norton Security is not working as expected and you’ve tried Troubleshooting → Reset to Default &or Repair Norton & clean re-install Norton Security/360…then…reach out to Norton support.
Note: Reset to Default resets Cloud Backup
360 game optimizer, GO, is the 360 gamer noted in the post above. Looking at the chart of features that @bjm posted above, you need the Platinum version to get the VPN feature. The Premium version does not have that feature included.
Maybe, Norton Support can change your “Norton GO” subscription over to Norton 360 for Gamers.
While you cannot swap tiers automatically through your online portal dashboard, contacting Official Norton Support directly allows a Member Services agent to manually adjust your account.
If you plan to buy Norton 360 for Gamers instead of going through an agent, make sure you cancel auto-renewal on your Norton GO plan – so you don’t get double-billed.
